It started with a blank pedal.
Pedal-junkie Grant Wilson asked designer and partner, Karen Schierhorn, to "draw something" on a blank guitar pedal. 10 minutes later, the pedal sported the line-art of a maniacal bunny cranking gears, and a light bulb went off in Grant's head!
This was the beginning of BIG EAR pedals; however, at that time we were called BIG EAR n.y.c.
Envisioning a great-sounding, easy-to-understand effects pedal line with catchy names and a clean look, Grant hired a team and took to social media and the streets of New York to spread the BIG EAR news.
Five years later, Grant and Karen along with their two bunny rabbits, Pam and Chase, braved the long haul and moved to Nashville, TN: Where the grass is greener, the space more plentiful, and the opportunity of working together full-time became a reality.
After setting up shop in Nashville, they decided to drop the “n.y.c.” from their name in June of 2018, and “BIG EAR pedals” was born!

We put a lot of time into making sure our pedals both sound and look their best, so when you hold one in your hand you feel like you're holding something special.
